Greetings and thanks for the replies both on the list and direct,
 
I seems that there are mixed opinions on this unit.  In any event, the large 
list of items available that included the R-9000 and IC-781 to name a few, may 
not yet be ready for sale.  Seems that the seller needs to thin out the heard 
and bring in some cash but is hesitant to give us pricing.  Perhaps it's 
separation anziety and he's afraid we'll buy the stuff!  Not a problem as I'd 
never try to pressure someone into selling stuff that they are not ready to part 
with.  Well.....  there was that one R388A full of filters that I cleaned up and 
checked out for a friend, but even then I only begged to be put on the top of 
the list if it even needs a home.
 
However, all is not lost and just when this all fell through a hosstrade for a 
Racal RA6790 popped up!  If that does in fact follow me home, I hope that the 
RA-17 with SSB adaptor does not get jellous and break down!
