Dear Jon
I echo your frustration. Take valves (old things that glow in the dark when
power is applied!!). I have no problem in sourcing them, but try many
semiconductors and it's a dead loss. My local Maplin electronics store in
London has had no common-or-garden TIP33 for some time. I need one to
replace the pass transistor in the PSU of my Drake R7.
As for the SL600 and SL1600 series of ICs that live inside countless
receivers and transceivers......... Not a hope.
