Gents

Adam is right!

I have read the recent wisdom of the experts on the advantages of MP control
control but I for one am not seeking to emulate the BBC Monitoring Station
at Caversham. My simple set up is a jack plug on a screened lead long
enough to reach the most distant receiver in the racks (and there are plenty
of them). The other end goes to a Barr & Stroud audio filter and that feeds
my comfy headphones. It works wonderfully and that's good enough for me
even if technically it is only marginally ahead of Noah's Ark.
