[Premium-Rx] The sum is greater than the whole

Yesterday I watched an auction for a (supposed) working RA6790/GM
that had been disassembled and sold for its parts. The total figure came to
$1131.35 not including some obviously inflated shipping and insurance
for each item. Of course I participated in a few items albeit unsuccessful
so I do feel a bit complicit in the deed. I suppose one can only guess the
myriad of motives for such an unnecessary cannibalization. Only the input
filter did not sell.
