[Premium-Rx] 6793a help please

Well some months back in a weak moment I sold my 6793 off,  you know the story, been sorry since ..  so now enters another one,  the seller is honest , it does not work, the " FAULT " lite really works... because after about 5-8 seconds of applied power it LITES up ...  the functions seem to work,  I.e. AM USB LSB CW FM  AGC SCAN ,  but no action ..one of the display segments does not fill in  like if it's supposed to show a 9 its shows a 3 because of the missing segment,  im presuming this is a driver problem more that the actual display ...  any starting points or hints in the right directions ... a bit of sordid background  this set came from the Atlanta FCC field office ..more trivia than anything else ..     thank you
