[Premium-Rx] 8617b error code

Hi,

  That error message can be  caused by the start frequency being higher t=
han=20
the stop frequency.  The WJ manual says this about error 813:

"This code is displayed if a Scan is initiated when the memory is program=
med=20
with a start frequency greater than the stop frequency.
The memory must be programmed with the EVEN numbered channel containing t=
he=20
lower frequency with the frequencies in ascending order.
This code is also displayed when the frequency step is less than the=20
selected bandwidth."

Let's say you want to scan from 40 to 50 MHz.

Select memory channel 00
Tune the radio to 40 MHz, setup the bandwidth, detection mode and COR lev=
el=20
you want. Press the STO button.
You will see the memory channel indicator go to 01.
Tune the radio to 50 MHz and press the STO button.

Set the memory channel back to 00.

Press the scan button and the radio will scan from 40 - 50 MHz stopping o=
n=20
any signal that is above the cor level you have set.  The COR level
can be tricky to setup.  You want the scan to stop at signals of interest=
=20
but not background noise.

The books should be available from DRS (800-954-3577) but will be quite=20
expensive.  The books also show up on EBay from time to time.
There are 2 books for this receiver, the instruction manual and the optio=
n=20
manual.  You will need both.
