Though these may not qualify in the premium category, I'm wondering if any
experts on this list have compared these two? Looking for the ultimate receiver
in the sensitivity category, as I hunt for weak stations on the 60/90m bands
and need a true and proven performer.
I have a Chuck Rippel R390A and it's hard to beat. Not a whole lot of
published info on the EK-07, though. Your input is appreciated.

Hi Ed, I have both. Each one is extremely nice in its own way. Both are
sensitive, very stable, have good selectivity choices and good dial readout. The
EK-07 weighs around 150 lbs so you will need a lift hand-truck or at least 2
people to move it around. Also the EK-07 is somewhat rare here in the USA so
parts/service/tubes are harder to find for it. The EK-07's were built with
extremely high-quality parts so if you have a working model it should be reliable for
years and years to come. You can get quite a lot of info and pictures on the
EK-07 in a google search. 73 Todd Roberts WD4NGG
