One of the better SDUs for this application is the WJ-9188A. It is 455kHz
at 30kHz maximum bandwidth 3-1/2 inches high and 1/2 rack width. There are
some Reaction Instruments units that are smaller (1-3/4" high) and have
more options (multiple input frequencies), but I have not used them.

WJ made a number of 455 kHz SDUs that would work. I used an old vacuum
tube CEI SM-8512 on the 455 kHz output of my WJ-8718/MFP for years. The
nuvistor units like these drift a bit but work fine. They are much less
expensive than the WJ-9188A and much better displays than the WWII vintage
SP-44.
