well I might scatter shoot on some answers.. and I did read your first
query.. but had put it aside to answer later..
look into the archives.. several years ago I posted the various config codes
here to this group..
I presume you know.. but the exciter 1310/a and whatever pa it uses.
typically did not directly interface with a 590/a or 2368 receiver..
although the 590 does have a " mute " relay.. pin 19 as I recall, to
ground.. will kill off any input into the receiver.. but don't take pin 19
as gospel.. the 590a and 2368 were more difficult to mute than the 590..
all this said.. the rf-130 exciter amp did have a TR relay for an outboard
receiver..
the " system you are describing " is better known as the RF-1130-01/02 ..
it uses the 4 part amplifier [solid state ] each part about 300 watts into
a 4 way combiner for the rated 1kw output .. Im not trying to sound
condescending.. but the Harris manuals are very comprehensive, and typically
not so easy as just pulling out a page with all the hook ups on one page..
these books are liken to the NYC phone books in size.. but a hell of a lot
more informative.. and you will need to expand your circle of friends, to
include your new BEST friend Bill Perry.. cause he is the guy who will have
all the connectors you will need.... I just checked, im somewhat over
stated.. the 1130 manual is not one of the killer size books.. about 3/4 -
1" is more like it.. good luck mac/mc
