[Premium-Rx] Harris RF-590 preselector / and another question

Trying to figure out if my rf-590 has a preselector included. The configuration code is 1120110512 which indicates (digit 3), that it has "digital" preselector. Also bit 9 is "1" meaning that it has the remote preselector interface. So I assume it does NOT have a preselector, just the hardware to drive the RF-551. I'm I correct or not ? The handbooks I have do not include any documentation on any of the available options and I'm not to keen to strip the receiver looking for something that looks like a preselector. Anybody can help ?

Next question; after typing in a direct frequency input, the tuning rate has to be adjusted as well. Find this very annoying. Is this a bug in the software ? Any history about other software versions ?
