[Premium-Rx] EUROPEAN LIST MEMBERS - and the Premium Radio Thread

Hi Christine,

Below are some of the premium receivers I own that have not yet made it onto
the (old) list:

1.	Cubic Communications R-3080 --- this is a single receiver version of the
R-3030 which is already there. American, but it's European now!
2.	Racal RA 6775-10/MA 6003A-3 --- This needs the remote control included
since that contains the required digital display and microprocessor!
American but British?
3.	Redifon R500 --- This is my latest addition and has some very interesting
features that I will measure and report back on to the list. It complies
with all the normal requirements and is in fact still the standard HF
receiver on Royal Navy warships. For that reason it was specifically
designed for operation in the presence of many, nearby, high-power
transmitters. Which is of course the subject of the current discussion
thread on the list. What makes it different to probably all the other
receivers on the list is that it is a single-conversion design with a low IF
of 1.4MHz!
4.	Skanti R5001NLT --- A commercial, maritime receiver that fits the
requirements and is certainly European.

Future purchases, budget allowing, will include something from R&S and
something from Telefunken so I will be speaking to you in due course :)

Regards,
Chuck Urmson

Thread

Dear friends!

Thanks a lot for so many replies to our question of finding a "European
Premium Listing", i read each very careful and will work it out complete, IF
i have the feeling, most interested members have written to our request!

Please do not take it as a criticism, but i WISHED that members writing me
do not only list known receivers (i sure have Ostermann's and Schiffhauer's
books) in a dozen, but ONE or ONLY they know personal and name it this way.
A tiny description of what you think about these/this receiver is helpful,
too, to get a real good list. SO PLEASE WRITE ME, as much as you can, hihi
...

I really hope i do not something wrong (please advise me, Greg!), but a
neighbor quitting the hobby asked me to "distribute" his "premiums", a
KWZ-30dsp and a R&S EK896dsp, i would take them for me, but i have both of
them and two are really beyond my needs (and financial capabilities ...), so
if someone likes to get one, pse let me know.

I can tell you about my "air-wave-transient-protection" in addition to some
protectors within/at the receivers (which provide a protection up to 100V
rms, tells R&S ...), i use some spark-plugs from the car fixed in a
excellent grounded metallbar outside the house to protect my receivers on
the longwire and the doublezepp ...

kindest regards to all,

yours, Christine
