My plates arrived today, just short of two weeks since I went to the DMV.

The $78 fee included my regular registration in addition to the call sign plate fee.

The lady who helped me said it was the first time she had done it using their new software. My fee was $78 for the year. She did not ask for an alternative ID, because mine had not “flashed red” on her screen. She said the plates would come in the mail in about a week.
