[PPRAANet] Microsoft scam running around

     To All:

   Just got off the about an hour ago with a MS scammer! Lo and behold 
the caller ID listed my "Home Phone" as the calling

party (red flag). He started into the usual "boiler room spiel" and I 
cut him short first by telling him I only run Linux. Then

I told him when I got off the phone I'd be contacting my phone provider, 
the BBB and the FCC to report to report the scam.

He immediately hung up. LOL! I did contact Comcast and let them know.

   The gal I talked with said they spoofed the phone number which I knew 
but let them know none the less as they sometimes put

out alerts. She said "I hope you didn't provide any information" to 
which I replied yes I did, I told him I'm running Linux, even

though I do run run Win 10. She laughed.

   They always try to scam Windows users! This is not the first time 
I've encountered these clowns. Several times back in PA. we got

picked for the scammers. I talked with MS personnel back in PA and was 
told "MS will NEVER" initiate a call such as this. You

must contact them and will if necessary return a call from you but again 
they DO NOT initiate calls!

   BEWARE!! I'm sure some people are aware of this type of scam but one 
email catches most members!
