[PCR-1000] PCR1000BUR1v2 Explanation?

I have an old pcr1000, the old US unblocked version. I hadn't checked my
EPROM for years. The PCR1000 works great but I recently thought maybe my
reception in the 137-8MHz satellite band was just a bit weak. So I compared
the EPROM to the EPROM I saved when I first got the PCR1000, when pcr1000BUR
was just released. It showed 102 errors!
I reloaded the original EPROM and reception improved.
Not long after buying the pcr1000 I purchased and installed the optional
noise reduction board. Not sure if that makes changes to the EPROM.
