[PCR-1000] Re:Nonstandard Filter Modes

Glenn, and anyone else catching me: Sorry for the sloppy typing -- I, of
course, meant to say that I use the TIMEWAVE DSP box outboard of the
PCR-1000. There certainly is not much that can be done (to my limited
knowledge) to reclaim signals 'spoiled' by the inherent weaknesses in the
radio itself. And I hasten to add that there are inherent weaknesses in
just about every radio I own, and I've got some that are supposedly 'better'
than the PCR-1000 (but not NEARLY as versatile.). I use TalkPCR as my
control program on a pretty good laptop running WIN2000 PRO and find the
program to be entirely suitable for its purpose. Vic

The only program that I use right now that gives me extremely flexablility
to
work around filters is radiocom 4.5.I can narrow down the dsp's filter width
to
get what I want. but still having the ability to go down further would be a
nice thing to have.
I will have to check out the timeline dsp.
Thanks,
Glenn
