[PCR-1000] Attic or roof mount?

   I'm running a turnstile at the moment with it sitting beneath the asphalt
shingle roof of my garage.  I get "acceptable" pictures, but only during the
higher points of the pass and any pass near the horizon is pretty worthless.
I've hauled the whole mess outside to test and found that I get a wider band
of the pass that is noise free but I still don't get a good signal near the
horizon.  For that I'll have to haul it up on the roof so I get a clear view
over nearby houses and trees.

   Basically, if you're only interested in weather images near your home 
location,
under the roof will probably be fine.  If you're looking for the largest clear
image you can get, put it above the roof as high as you have to in order to see
over nearby obstructions.
