[PCR-1000] Attic or roof mount?

A lot!. I have tried it. It doesn't work. I got way better reception putting
it at the corner of a small deck even though it was much lower than inside
under the roof and the house blocked it on one side... it still was much
better than inside. I put it on a 5ft radio shack mast and just popped it
off and took it inside when I wasn't using it.
