[PCR-1000] Re: PCR-1000 and Radiocom 4.0

thanks for the many responses. This morning Bonito came back. They will send
version 4.5 which they say does scanning "like version 5.1" in order to
solve the scanning problem. They claim none of their PCs exhibits this
problem and that nobody else than me has reported the problem.

In all fairness to Bonito / Radiocom 4: I have otherwise no problems with
the software, it has not corrupted the EEPROM (yet?) and is has not crashed
the PC either. I wish it had the man / machine interface of TalkPC. What
would be really ideal? A marriage of PCTalk with some of the extra features
of Radiocom (e.g. the built in DSP, RTTY  and CW decoding etc) and RLDB able
to operate the PCR-1000. (Fineware just told me they cannot confirm they
will do this for the PCR-1000 as they have no radio to test). That will be
the day....
