[PCR-1000] "Connecting" - Communication problem / observation

When I first setup and on occasion since then I have had the scan =
function interrupted by a "connecting" message. This totally disrupts =
the scan function, making the radio only useful for monitoring a single =
channel.

I decided to try other software than that supplied by with the radio. I =
observed that the TalkPCR software worked well and did not have the =
"connecting" problem, and I have also observed that the ICOM software =
works well after installing and using the TalkPCR software. I did use =
the  eeprom backup feature of the TalkPCR software, other than these =
things I can't think of another changes.

The ICOM software is still working after two days of continuous use.
