[PCR-1000] controller

The article says it will work with anything that has keyboard equivalent
commands, i.e., arrows, control keys etc.   Since the Icom PCR-1000
software uses software buttons within the program, it doesn't appear it
would work.   

I must admit I would like an external knob, mostly for the volume control
as it is a real nuisance to 'drag' it around, but it does not appear this
would work with the Icom software.   I wonder if it would work with other
programs? Any other thoughts?
