Thanks for the suggestions.  I have tried the software route with the 1000.
I don't like it...seems so unreliable to me, so with my HF rig, I go
hardware.  It's right there at the push of a button.  It didn't cost me
much, got it on ebay.  All it really cost me was an eeprom upgrade for 22
bucks.  I like to print the pics easily, this does that.  To each his own I
guess.  I've alreay got the MFJ hooked up, so that way I'll stay for my HF
rig anyway.
