Subject: November 18 Exercise
Hello to all:
I have some more information on the upcoming Shake, Rattle, and Roll 09
exercise.
>From a list sent to me by ADEM, this is the list of New Madrid Seismic
Zone affected counties:
Arkansas County; Baxter, County; Clay, County; Cleburne, County;
Cleveland County; Craighead, County; Crittenden, County; Cross County;
Desha County; Faulkner, County; Fulton County; Grant County; Greene,
County; Independence, County; Izard, County; Jackson, County; Jefferson
County; Lawrence, County; Lee, County; Lincoln County; Lonoke County;
Mississippi, County; Monroe, County; Phillips, County; Poinsett,
County; Prairie County; Pulaski County; Randolph, County; St. Francis,
County; Sharp, County; Stone, County; Van Buren, County; White, County;
Woodruff, County
>From a list sent to me by ADEM, this is the list of counties involved
in the exercise:
Clay, Cleburne, Craighead, Crittenden, Grant, Faulkner, Mississippi,
Monroe, Pulaski, and St. Francis.
As you can see, this is not a statewide drill for Emergency Management.
I have talked to Lindy WW5AA, our Section Traffic Manager, and he
thinks we can make this the basis for our Section Emergency Test. This
means we will be taking check-ins from all counties. I especially want
to encourage those out of the affected area to participate. Relays are
encouraged as well. As is custom, please have your station independent
of the commercial power grid during the exercise.
I will send more information as plans firm up.
If you have questions let me know.
Thanks and 73,
J.M.
