Good news!
 
Senate Bill 884 was reported out of the House Appropriations Committee and
given Second Consideration on the House floor on October 6 without anything bad
happening.  It can now be given Third Consideration at which time, it can be
voted upon.  However, the vote is not a guaranteed thing.  It can also be
tabled, re-committed to a committee, or amended.  Keep your fingers crossed.
