[PaQSO] QRP

My opinion:   The QRP multiplier is  unfair and unnecessary. HOWEVER, if it 
stays I am willing to run QRP and take  advantage of it. Maybe my opinion will 
be different then.

All  categories should be available to all 3 power levels.  Each power level  
competes with its own.  A good QRP effort is obvious, without giving it a  
nebulous 2x multiplier.  Multi-Multi QRP should be a  category.

I also think that there should be a phone-only  category. That could 
eliminate the need for a cw mult at all.  I like being  able to go to cw and work the 
same stations as on phone so I will always prefer  the "mixed" category. But a 
phone-only category would surely suit the newcomers  who aren't brought into 
ham radio with cw like a lot of us  were.

Yes, the categories must stop somewhere!  I'm not  advocating a bunch of 
obscure categories. And NO, I dont think that QRP M/M is  obscure!  QRP should 
always be encouraged especially in an event that  promotes portable operation. I 
think a serious QRP M/M sounds like a lot of  fun!   Encouraging QRP is what 
initiated the 2x mult in the first  place!  

The PA QSO Party is a great event and I will enjoy it  no matter what the 
rules as long as I still get that 8 hours of  off-time!!

Re: K8MR's query.  I sure wouldn't miss that last  hour.
