I do not think that any discussion is bad(this is a
reflector.)  If someone disagrees with you, it is
inappropriate to insult them.  

Whenever any type of rule change is proposed, it
should be up to the people seeking the change, to
justify why it is necessary.  Then a discussion can
ensue about the merits of it.  This is all that
happened, we discussed the digital merits.  What
puzzles me is that we appeared to have a vote on this
once or twice in the recent past, with the NO crowd
winning.  All of a sudden we hear that digital is in,
so I think that set some people off.  How did this
occur?  Were there hanging chads?  A few people raised
some questions about interference, so that was
discussed.  You have to admit, there have been issues
in the past regarding mobile windows, DX windows, etc.
 

I also feel that everything has a domino effect.  By
default, when something changes, other things will
change, too.  That is why the scoring came up.  The CW
scoring came up, because if you can type, you can use
digital.  CW does requires great skill, yet it would
be equal in points or less.  I must admit, that makes
no sense to me.  Help!

Mike raised a great point with the multi-multi
portable issue.  This proves why it is good to examine
the rules periodically.  People have suggested
modernizing the rules for awhile, as well as being
specific about certain behaviors.  

Let us not take the fun out of radio here.
