[PaQSO] When is W3UU a dupe

Please, please, do not reply to this message until/unless you read the
whole thing.

I've read all the W3UU related postings, and I'm still confused.

This message is about one issue, and only one issue........"When is and
when isn't W3UU a dupe".

I've read comments that "SEEM" to say (maybe I've read them wrong, but they
SEEM to say) that after working a fixed W3UU station in one county (say
DAU) on one band (say 40 meters) and one mode (say SSB), I CAN STILL WORK
another W3UU station in that SAME county, that SAME band and mode IF it is
a W3UU mobile or rover station.

I've also read comments that seem to say that, in the above example, the
mobile or rover W3UU would be a dupe.

I, for one, feel the later is the case.....I don't see how there can be any
question about this. BUT......the reason for this message is to be sure
I'll be doing what everyone else is doing.

My opinion is that, once I have W3UU in the log on 40 SSB from DAU, I can't
work another W3UU on 40 SSB in DAU for credit, (QSO point credit and/or
Bonus point credit). Just because the second W3UU happens to be a mobile
(or rover) W3UU, and the first W3UU was one of the fixed, (home) stations,
doesn't mean it is a "new" station.

In other words, my contention is that W3UU/m/DAU on 40 SSB is the same
station as the W3UU that gave me "### DAU" on 40 SSB a few hours earlier.

Again, maybe I misunderstood what I thought were comments to the contrary.
And maybe I'm wrong.......maybe it's already been stated that you CAN work
two W3UU's in the same county on the same band/mode IF one is a fixed
station and the other is a mobile station, and work a third W3UU on that
same band/mode/county combination if it is the rover station.

And maybe this is a "non-issue"........maybe those coordinating the W3UU
operation have taken steps to preclude the mobile and rover W3UU's from
operating from the same county as each other AND from the same county as
the "home" W3UU's.

But, on the chance that this situation could occur, I'd like to know what
other's think, or, preferably, have a definitive statement from K3CM or
whomever as to what to do..........can we work 2 (or 3) W3UU's in the same
county on the same band and same mode for QSO points? For Bonus points? For
both?

If this issue has already been addressed.....if something definitive has
already been said....I missed it. My daughter go married Saturday and I was
busy, at least that's the excuse I'll use.

And please, lets keep the conversation civil.........we can all disagree,
but lets not disagree disagreeably.
