I think it's really a matter of the software one is using.

Mine (NA), will NOT dupe K8MR/3 as long as the QTH is different each ti=
me,
assuming I set "QTH's must match for dupe" under the options menu.

Or, as I've done in the past, I do not use that option, but rather, I j=
ust
change K8MR/3 to K8MR/LAW or K8MR/CLA or whatever, as I'm entering it i=
n
the log. And I don't think it really matters to anyone on the other sid=
e of
K8MR's QSO's if he is mobile or rover............at least I think I don=
't
think it matters.......

So, Jim can keep sending K8MR/3 and as long as he is in a different cou=
nty,
my log WILL NOT show a dupe.

I seem to recall, from postings in the past on similiar threads, that s=
ome
of the other software programs used for the PaQP have similiar ways of
dealing with this, though I'm not positive.

And I'm thinking we'll see more that just my reply to Jim, N3PBH's post=
.

Jim, I am not sure how you can operate the Party as a
/3 instead of saying if you are mobile or rover.  My
understanding of the software is that if you operate
from different counties, you must send mobile(/m) or
rover(/r.)  If you don't do this the logging program
will kick you out as a dupe.  This will be difficult
for all involved.  It would be easiest to pick one
type of entry or the other.

If you don't want to pick one or the other, why not
run your call for the mobile qso's and the driver's
call for the stopped rover qso's?  That makes
everyone's life that much easier.  It seems to fix the
problem, right?
