I wasn't using a voice keyer, but on CW, more than once, a reply would come
just as the "repeat" was about to start again and I was stretching for the
refridge to get drink or a sandwich or whatever.........
And then I'd jump back to the chair and hit ESC and miss the first one or
two characters and have to ask for fills all the while thinking the guy at
the other end is probably wondering why the heck I'm sending at 26 or 28 if
I can't copy at that speed...........

Hehe, I was attempting to QSO with a person that was
obviously using a voice keyer. I'd answer him, but he was well into
his next "CQ contest" when I let up on the footswitch.
I wonder if maybe he had to use the "facilities" and was
using the voice keyer to hold the frequency? 8^)
