[Packet] MFJ 1270C TNC-2 Packet Controller Question

The radio shouldn't emit a tone while it should be transmitting. Makes
me wonder if the wiring from TNC to radio is crossed. Or whether the TNC
PTT switch drive has failed and its keying and releasing rapidly. Or the
transmit tone is on the PTT wire.
