Could it be a round the world path and you are hearing yourself come back via long path?  The time delay would be about right for that.73 John AF5CC Sent via the Samsung Galaxy A10e, an AT&T 4G LTE smartphone

I've heard this before: there is a long-delay echo from MY transmission on 30 m. I've heard this before on 15 m, but never on 30 m. These never last long and I don't know the cause. I don't have time to hook up a 'scope to check the echo delay, which would tell me the round-trip distance. If I send a dit, I hear an echo of it delayed about 0.2 s. It is definitely mine, and it is not an artifact from my rig because I hear it on both my TT Orion 2 and my TS930S. The echo strength varies with time: sometimes it's quite clear, others absent r very faint.Happy New Year,Kim N5OP-- Kim Elmore, PhKim Elmore, Ph.D. (Adj. Assoc.
