Yes, it certainly could be. I'm pretty sure I've heard such a thing on 
15 m as I timed that quite carefully. It was probably about 20 y ago. I 
wish there were some way to know for certain!

I've heard this before: there is a long-delay echo from MY transmission on 30 m. I've heard this before on 15 m, but never on 30 m. These never last long and I don't know the cause. I don't have time to hook up a 'scope to check the echo delay, which would tell me the round-trip distance.If I send a dit, I hear an echo of it delayed about 0.2 s. It is definitely mine, and it is not an artifact from my rig because I hear it on both my TT Orion 2 and my TS930S.
