Good question Dave,
As far as I understand, the complexity of DMR makes it difficult to include
those type radios in CHIRP.
In looking at the CHIRP site, it seems that they have included the F8HP
into their supported radios ( https://chirp.danplanet.com/issues/1765 ) ,
so you may be in luck with that one.
My Radioddity gd-55 plus is not supported.
Most people I've heard programming DMR have used the software that comes
with the radio.
Give it a try! Let us know how it goes!
