[NLRS] More I-35 traffic challenges

For those of you travelling I-35 southbound to the Central States
conference...
Also be forewarned of road destruction at the very south end of I-35 in
Iowa - only one lane through southbound and northbound for what seemed like
about 10 miles (but the Iowa DOT web page says it's from MM12 to MM4).
Speeds were slowed through this area but moving.
More road destruction in the Kansas City area - driver K9PW and I hit KC at
the afternoon rush hour yesterday and were very "challenged' with getting
through the downtown area - we made it through but it was a blur (the
heavier traffic certainly didn't help). It wasn't clear WHAT was actually
'closed' as we were driving (from what I can find on the web, a stretch of
I-70 westbound is closed just west of downtown). The loop routes I-435 and
I-635 might be more comfortable route choices to bypass the "downtown" area.
Drive safely and C U at the Doubletree!
