[NLRS] Need some info on N connectors

I've seen some of those installed on a cable, but unfortunately I don't know
the installation procedure. I can tell you that the brass sleeve/ferrule
was not crimped or crushed in any way and was pushed up onto the back of the
connector, but they had heatshrink applied over the top, you could see the
ridges in the brass piece through the heatshrink.

I would guess its just a force fit over the braid and there is probably a
forked tool that slides it up and presses it on the connector pinching the
braid like a standard crimp on ferrule would do.

Subject: [NLRS] Need some info on N connectors

I just received a bunch of N connectors and they are a bit different than
what I've seen before. They are not screw-on and they don't seem
crimpable. The ridged cylinder is made of brass, so I assume the braid
gets soldered to it. I've included links to two rather blurry pictures,
but hopefully someone has seen this before and can give me general
instructions on how they're installed:

Thanks and 73,
