Interestingly, we've noticed several times this summer
that when 
we have enhanced conditions on VHF, we can't see some of the TV

stations out of Sioux Falls. For example, we have no reception of 
KSFY,
physical channel 13, with a reported power of 22.7 kW ERP 
with an antenna
1952'AGL. The tower is 26.7 miles from us (line 
of sight, given it's height),
but we lose reception of the 
station whenever we have tropo enhancement.


 
 
Interesting.  Perhaps the antenna is above the duct cutting it off for you.
