I think we all knew this would happen, but still....
The forecast has NOT improved for tomorrow morning; in fact
they've bumped the wind forecast up a bit. The cold-front will
pass through the area overnight, with some rain, scattered
showers. Behind the front, winds will be 15-30 knots sustained
(18 -34 mph) with gusts as high as 40. Morning temps will be
mid-40s (at best), with the day's high only upper 40s to low 50s.
With the wind chill, it'll feel like the 30's.
So... there will be NO ANTENNA RANGE at Aurora '13. Sorry,
folks.
We'll talk about some alternate date for 2-1296 and maybe
2304-10GHz range(s) during the Business Meeting.
As Paul said earlier, "boat anchors and other heavier-than-air
objects" shouldn't be affected: wind-loading when they're on the
ground isn't a problem, and we can wear our (I hate to say it)
winter coats.
See you tomorrow.
