[NLRS] LightSquared rejected by FCC

There will be appeals, I'm sure (too many $$ and 
politically-connected people involved), but it looks as if 
our handheld GPSs will work for a while longer !

The following is from "The Broadcasters' Desktop Resource" 
web site....

2/15/12 - LightSquared had its conditional approval to 
operate terrestrial transmitters on frequencies near GPS use 
pulled by the FCC on Tuesday as a letter from the NTIA 
(National Telecommunications and Information Administration)

regarding their study had determined there was interference 
with GPS receivers, and there was no practical way to 
mitigate the potential interference within the next few 
years. The wavier for operation, granted by the FCC to 
LightSquared, was "suspended indefinitely,"
