Subject: Field Day 2010-VHF

The Rochester Amateur Radio Club will have a Field Day operation
at the farm of W0BM at EN33PW. I have been asked to be the Captain
of the VHF station. I want to make this an introduction and training
session on what is possible on VHF SSB to a cluster of operators
that have only experienced FM activity on repeaters.

I think I will be able to drag a few of them to my station and put
them on the air using their own call sign. I would like to have a few
VHF stations listening for us on 144.200 between 3 PM and 5 PM. We
should be able to work 2m, 6m and 432 MHz. With 50 watts on 2m we
should be good to North St. Paul, Eau Claire and Redwing and anything
closer. Grand Rapids may be tough. Once we have worked the Twin City
FM Club and the 3M Club stations it gets pretty quiet. Can I get a
few volunteers to be on from 3 to 5 PM looking our way ? Pleeese !
