GM all

I am very much looking FORWARD to the Jan contest! The bands have been so quiet... Gary and I keep verifying that indeed the radios and radio propagation still work. In fact there was some enhancement yesterday on 2m and the EN43 2m beacon was quite good (hearing it weakly at the moment). KG0VL/M was up in EN38 running 40w and a squalo on the pickup on a "Sunday drive" up to Crane Lake. I "hill topped" with Jeff some on 2m while he drove among the hills and trees. He is in Ely, MN this week. Gary is VERY loud now on 902... he is running a bit more power as of late. Gary's GPS locked 1296 sig is a few db less strong (because I use no preamp??) Gary's 10Ghz signal has been workable most days, but not "huge".

I DO HOPE that we can get some activity. We all enjoy the activity too much to allow ourselves to "dropout".

I plan on being active the entire contest period. I will catch a few hours of ZZs in the "wee hours". Operations will cover 6,2,222,432,902,1296 and 10Ghz.

Hope to see you on the bands during the contest if not before.
