Hello NLRS land.

Assuming that the weather for the January VHF contest is not too brute, I propose a uW activity hour. I am thinking that if we gather at the industrial park in Burnsville, the usual spot just off of Burnsville Parkway, that we could work K0AWU and W0GHZ on whatever bands you can drag out. As this is a contest, we would have to predetermine an operating time (no cell phones) - perhaps 10:00 AM Sunday morning ? After that, those who are interested can move to EN35 & work off of downtown. You could submit either a SO log from the Burnsville spot, or submit a rover log if you make it to at least two grids (ex: EN34 and EN35). You can also operate from home and submit a log as a single-op, and then submit a second log as a rover ..... you cannot submit two single-op logs.

So, anyone interested in seeing
a) how many 10 GHz Q's we can give to Bill and Gary and
b) seeing if your equipment works in the cold ?

The proposal is to meet at the Burnsville Parkway spot at 10:00 AM on Sunday morning - bring whatever bands you want. 2M FM contacts count too ! If this gains some traction, I may throw the 897 in the car with omnis for 6 thru 432 too and would be looking for activity there as well. Comments ?

73, Jon
