Hello NLRS land.

As your Dakota Division VUAC representative I can tell you that the ARRL
VUAC has been directed to address the following question - Should there be a new
category in the VHF/UHF contests called "single operator assisted" ? The
implications would be that such a station could use APRS, the Internet, and
other means of assistance.

What I would like to know from you is:

1. Is this a significant issue for you, either as a yes or strong yes, or a
no or strong no.
2. If this is an issue for you, why.
3. Would you favor or not favor such a classification and why.
4. Any other comments/questions you may have.

I am interested in all NLRS members comments, especially Dakota Division
members. For those NLRS members outside of Dakota Division, I encourage you to
share (CC:) your comments with your VUAC Division Rep. You can find yours at
http://www.arrl.org/contests/vuac.html . Let me know if you need an email
address.

73, Jon
W0ZQ
