[NLRS] Antenna recommendations for Rovers

Hi Joe.  You  didn't say what band(s).  Generally speaking, most rovers use 
yagis on 432  and down, loop yagis on 902 to 3456, and dishes above 5760.   
Yagis  work well on 902 and 1296 too, and the VJB Cheap Yagi designs are good, 
but  above 1296 dimensions get critical and loopers are a bit more forgiving to  
manufacturer.   Directive Systems is the place for loop  yagis.   For boom 
length, each to their own !   When roving  I find that 5 to 6' boom lengths 
offer a good amount of gain with reduced aiming  needs ... my rover antennas are 
fixed so I have to turn the car.  Also,  sometimes its not easy to get the 
rovermobile flat - remember those beam  patterns are both in azimuth and elevation 
and if you have a tight beam pattern  that is pointed into the ground, or 
space, all that gain is for naught.   Other rovers will tell you that you need 
the longest booms you can fit on your  rover ... that works too, just remember 
aiming.
