[NLRS] Antenna recommendations for Rovers

Hi Joe,
Jon, W0ZQ, covered most of it in his reply. Loop yagi's at 432 below generally are not built because of the wind load
problem you mention. That was "discoved" 20+ years ago. At 33cm (900MHz) and up, they're the cat's meow.

You don't mention what bands you're thinking of a "multi-band" dish for, so specific comments are tough. Multi-band
dishes are ALWAYS a compromise, but may be worth it. Optimize the feed for the highest frequency, and take what you can
get on the lower ones. Also, dishes have to be large in terms of wavelength to provide more gain that a yagi (or loop
yagi). Ex: a 3' dish at 900 will provide ~15 dB gain... but so will a good loop yagi, which is MUCH easier to handle
and can be mounted on the top of the rover. A dish generally cannot. (Even an 18" dish for 10GHz (a DSS dish) is a LOT
of wind load at 60 mph !)
