   Hello, Todd KC9BQA here,

Starting at 8pm tonight, I'm going to start calling
CQ only to my west thru north on 144.240,
specifically looking to get some activity going between
my EN63ao QTH (40 miles north of Milwaukee)
and those who are in CVVHF and NLRS-land.

If you follow the Badger Contesters email reflector,
you know that I decided 3 weeks ago to dust off the
dormant 144.250 net.

I run it every Wed. at 8:30 central time, and while
the majority of check-ins are in the Milwaukee/Chicago
area, I definitely call CQ every 30 degrees, from about
8:35 to 8:40. All are encouraged to check-in.

But I've also decided that I'm going to specifically try to
include any/all up to my west thru north. But using
144.240 as the frequency. Again, from 8:00 until 8:30pm

What this means is that starting at 8:00 sharp every
Wed. night (lightning permitting) I will be looking
only toward my west thru north, for CVVHF'ers and
NLRS'ers. Plan on this for the rest of the summer,
at least. Perhaps longer -- we'll see. I'll continue to
send email reminders.

I'm going to do this on 144.240 (NOT 144.250).
Why 144.240? Because if we do stir up some activity,
I want everyone to be able to keep making contacts on a
different freq., while I go to .250 and start up the regular
net at 8:30.

Everyone says there isn't enough activity on the bands.
Well here's a chance to change that. If signals are weak,
so much the better; I love the challenge. If they're THAT
weak, then cut me out of the equation and work amongst
yourselves. I don't mind one bit. I'll have the 144.250
net to run at 8:30 anyway.

This isn't a formal net with any set protocol. Instead,
with contest season upon us, I'm trying to get some things
started, without the distraction of an actual contest.

I'd be very pleased if you'd answer my CQ. If we
generate any activity, I'll also post summaries to these
reflectors afterwards.

Thanks for your time, and good luck in the contests
this summer.
     73,
     Todd KC9BQA EN63ao -- 40 miles N of Milwaukee
