[NLRS] New Technology in Town

Just how many repeaters are NEEDED to cover the entire Twin Cities?  I 
can hear the 146.850 machine just West of Menomonie, WI.  Maybe there 
wouldn't be so much pressure on the simplex frequencies if people didn't 
have ego problems where they can proudly say they own a repeater?  I can 
hardly remember the last time I even used a repeater...Now, don't get me 
wrong, but if someone wants to own a repeater and can't get a pair on 
2M, what's wrong with 222, 432 or even 900 MHz?
