[NLRS] Logging

Hi Bruce, and all who've replied,
Thanks for the replies. I actually am not trying to direct the
conversation to computers, I guess I was just guessing that everyone
used computers..... Bad guess on my part. (notice how I avoided using
the assume word lol )
All I'm really trying to do is come up with the most efficient way to do
this so that I don't have to feel bad about not sending things in and
yet can still fit it in my time footprint (very small usually).
I kind of like the type of log sheet you are mentioning and then putting
it in a 3 ring binder. Right now I'm using a Yaesu freebie book and
it's hard to copy the pages, plus they don't have a grid square box. I
guess it's made mostly for HF. (isn't that where you just tap the
antenna on a battery real fast.......) (Ok, just kidding)
One problem I can see with using a computer that's linked with the radio
is that if one uses more than one radio or transverter, you need some
way of inserting an entry. I'm not sure how hard that is on some of the
programs? Right now I'm using primarily my 736 with 50, 144, 222, and
432 but during the Jan contest it occurred to me that if I had my 706
running that would have eliminated the need for one of the band switches
I had to do, that is to say, use the 706 for all 432 for example. And
if I ever get my 1296 transverter working then that would be 3 radios....
I can also see the concern about computer generated noise.
