... to my ignorance of the rules for the CSVHFS States and Provinces
Above 50 MHz contest, specifically with respect to rovers.

The good news is, it seems to have sparked some useful discussion. The
bad news is, that the rules in question were "new" in 2001, or 4 seasons
ago, so I guess I have no excuse for being so ignorant of them.

Oh well, I am grateful to share the company of so many knowledgeable
folks who are not at all reluctant to share their knowledge for the good
of all.

This is a stark contrast to one of the other mail lists I subscribe to,
the AMSAT-BB list, where there are lots of knowledgeable folks, and a
lot of folks who are not at all reluctant to speak up, but the two are
not always related. In other words, on that list, SOME (too many) of
the topics brought up are demonstrations of the speaker (writer)'s
ignorance, intolerance, prejudice, or desire to show off how much they
(think they) know and how stupid they believe the rest of the list
subscribers are. Still, there are enough valuable "gold nuggets"
intermingled with the rest of the toxic waste that I persist in
monitoring the AMSAT-BB list and occasionally contributing to it...
