Hi All -
A couple items regarding the UHF Contest.
1) So far I only have one other person who is interested in a multi-op. I
know that Brent, KD5EMB, and I could run a multi-op, but it would be better to
have a few more people to help. We've only got equipment for 222 & 432 right
now and an offer for some 3456 gear. Anyone else interested?!
2) We still have not come up with a great site. Jon, W0ZQ, is working on the
Buck Hill site. I'm looking into the Flying Cloud Fields. It's a high
location but not a great location. Anyone else have access to a great location (or
a contact person?)?
3) I looked into the standings from last year. If we can get equipment and
operator for 222 - 3456 and 10 gigs, I feel we can give W2SZ a run for their
money. We'd have to energize the FM community and get a few more rovers out
there. I think we need about 35 grids on 222 & 432 and 25 grids on 902-2304 to
make a run at W2SZ. Right now I see 23 grids activated by rovers. I'd like
to see about 100 Q's on 222 & 200 Q's on 432. With good FM activity and a lot
of local/rover activity, I think it is possible!
I'm open to other ideas for the multi-op. Keep the ideas flowing.
