OK, here is a proposal for this weekend ..... remember, this is only a
proposal. I've heard either directly or indirectly from the following
stations that they have some level of interest:
W0ZQ: 2304, 3456, 10G
KF0Q: 2304, 3456
KC0IYT: 10G
KD0JI: 10G
N0KP: 2304, 3456, 5.7, 10G, depending on where he operates and how much
time he has to get ready
W0GHZ: 2304 and up
1. To capture all the 10GHz's we can, especially the uniques (worth 100
pts), I propose we have an activity time for off of downtown for both Sat.
and Sunday and whoever can make it can make it ..... the more the better.
I suggest we try for 9:30 am on Sat AND Sunday, +/- 30 minutes. If you
make this schedule from one spot on Sat., please move 10 miles to a new
spot for Sunday so that you are fresh meat again.
2. Specific Plans Beyond #1 Above:
KF0Q - Matt has indicated some interest in doing some roving with the two
band he has and is looking for suggested times, etc.
W0ZQ - Besides making the two 10gig scheules listed above, I am considering
doing some roving south and perhaps SW of the Twin Cities. If so, this
would be on Sunday after the 10gig schedule ..... I might go down to just
north of Lonsdale (EN34hl) for the Sunday 10gigs schedule to start with.
Again, Sunday midmorning to afternoon would be my rover time and I will
have a cell phone and 146.46. If I can't get my act together in time, I
will operate from home.
KC0IYT & KD0JI : May go roving/exploring west of the cities on Hwy 12 or
55, then south on 4. 10G only. Still looking at what day & time.
Please provide me with any thoughts that you may have and pass on the 10gig
schedules of Sat & Sunday @ 9:30 am +/- 30 minutes off of downtown. If
there is enough interest we could also throw in a PM schedule for off of
downtown .... like say 4:00 PM or ??. Remember that schedule
coordination is allowed, even encouraged, in this microwave contest, so
talk it up. If you participate, keep a log so that we can send it in ....
this IS NOT a ARRL contest, .... there is an example as to how to do this
