You need BOTH, 902 and 903.  902 is usually better, as the unlicensed stuff tends to be higher in the band.  But not always.  Much of the time where I am (North Metro), 902 is unusable.  903 is just fine.  The opposite is true in much/most of the southern parts of the Metro.  You need both.  Since you're using a 144 MHz i.f., no big deal; 902 = 144; 903 = 145 MHz.  (Not sure what you'd do for a 28MHz i.f. though.)
